How Bitters No. 9 works
Dr. Shade’s Bitters No. 9 is a proprietary blend of nine bitter herbs and aromatic essential oils, known to help activate bitter receptors and support bile flow and healthy digestion. Each of the compounds may also offer benefits beyond digestion.
The moment bitters touch our tongue they light up our body and brain. We have over two dozen specialized receptors that detect bitter molecules, lining our tongues, nose, sinuses, lungs, heart, intestines and more.
Bitter herbs such as dandelion can support healthy liver, gallbladder, kidney, and urinary tract function. Milk thistle can support detoxification via the liver. Solidago can act as a kidney and urinary tract tonic. Burdock may support healthy blood and a healthy pancreas. Essential oils such as myrrh and clove may have broad balancing activity on the flora; juniper oil can serve as a tonic to the urinary tract, and sweet orange adds delightful flavor and can be calming and uplifting.
